Now is the time to decide if we move north or southward. Okay, let’s head to Tarragona. We’ll drive along C-32 and AP-7 for one hour and fifteen minutes. On the shores of the Mediterranean, the former Roman city of Tarraco displays its incredible heritage of monuments, together and its beaches. Several routes can be taken in the province, driving along its beautiful coast from the calm, shallow waters of the ‘Golden Coast’ to the medieval Tarragona.
After driving along the Costa Dorada (‘Golden Coast’), we now enter the fertile meadow of the River Segre. To reach Lleida, we’ll take C-14 and AP-2.
This multicultural province presents an excellent cuisine and an amazing natural space –the Leridan Pyrenees. Some of the best ski slopes and hiking trails are located here.
To finish our tour of Catalonia, we’ll move from Lleida to Girona along C-25 y A-2 (2 hours approx.) We’ll go into the so-called ‘City of the Four Rivers’, where we’ll find the down town –la Força Vella.
