What to see with your rental car in Tariff and surroundings?

To enjoy the town of Tarifa itself and also the most outstanding nearby corners with all the facilities, the best option is to rent a car in Tarifa to move around the surroundings and places that you should not miss.

In Tarifa, take the opportunity to enter the old town through the Puerta de Jerez, the last remaining of the three gates of the majestic medieval wall that surrounded the city. Once you cross it, you'll enter the old town, which has a Moorish structure and is one of the must-see sights. • Cadiz is 100 kilometres away and will take you about an hour and a quarter. You can't miss the cathedral and the Barrio del Pópulo, the oldest quarter of the city, as well as the Alameda and Plaza del Mentidero, on the seafront promenade.

And if you still have time, you should not forget these small but charming villages around Tarifa. Reaching them won't take you long and will provide you with unbeatable views and memories:

• El Puerto de Santa María: known for its maritime history and beautiful beaches. Here you can visit the Monasterio de la Victoria, the Casa de los Leones or the Castillo de San Marcos. In one hour and twenty minutes with your rental car you will reach this fabulous town.
  
• Conil de la Frontera: popular destination for its almost 14 kilometres of beaches and peaceful atmosphere. In Conil you can see the Torre de Guzmán, the Puerta de la Villa, the Baluarte and the watchtowers. You should also take a stroll along the promenade and the harbour, because they are spectacular. It will take you just over 50 minutes to get there.
  
• Zahara de los Atunes: it will take you less than forty minutes with your hire car to get there from Tarifa.
