1. CONTRACTING
1.1. Contratacting.
1.1.1. The minimum rental period is one full day.
1.2. Charges.
1.2.1.Under no circumstances shall Globalia Automoviles S.L. accept payment in cash. In the Canary Islands only CREDIT CARDS and NO DEBIT CARDS, will be accepted. If the contracting party tries to collect the vehicle without his/her CREDIT CARD, our collaborator in the Canary Islands will have the right not to allocate a vehicle.
1.2.2.At the time of collection of the vehicle, the contracting party must provide a valid CREDIT CARD, The presentation of which shall be required by the personnel of our partner in the Canary Islands. In the event that supplementary charges occur such as uninsured damages, late return, lack of fuel, Globalia Automoviles S.L. or its collaborator for the Canary Islands shall charge the correspondent sum to this card. In the event of not incurring any additional charge, Globalia Automóviles S.L. shall not charge anything to this credit card.
1.3. Drivers.
1.3.1. Minimum requirements for each and all the named drivers: the possession of a full and valid driving licence for at least one year and the minimum age is twenty-three years old.
1.4. The rental price includes
1.4.1. Rental of the vehicle, including VAT(including IGIC in the Canary Islands). With the exception of special agreements between Globalia Automoviles S.L. and other companies or collaborators.
1.4.2. Insurance cover for damage: the damages of the vehicles of Globalia Automobiles, S.L. in the Canary Islands they are covered by defect by means of a tax exemption depending on the operator:
- REISEN Seat Ibiza o Similar 200.00.-
- REISEN Ford Focus o Similar 350.00.-
- REISEN Opel Zafira o Similar 350.00.-
- HERTZ Seat Ibiza o Similar 504.00.-
- HERTZ Ford Focus o Similar 630.00.-
- HERTZ Crhysler Voyager o Similar 758.00.-
Over this amount, the contracting party is liable for damage caused to the vehicle should this occur. Should the contracting party wish to take out an exemption from this franchise or fully comprehensive cover for damage to the vehicle, he/she shall pay an extra amount per calendar day of rental, which may differ depending on the age of the contracting party and the drivers included in the rental agreement and the specific terms of the contract, according to the applicable rates in force at the time of rental (See point 8 of General Terms & Conditions). This amount is subject to changes in specific commercial agreements between Globalia Automoviles S.L. and other companies or collaborators.
1.4.3. Unlimited mileage is included in the Canary Islands.
2. CHANGE OR CANCELLATION OF THE CONTRACT
2.1. Reduction of the rental period.
The contracting party may reduce the length of his rental period, without charge, but in no circumstances shall he/she be entitled to receive any refund for the reduction of the days specified in his contract. Except in specific commercial agreements between Globalia Automoviles, S.L. and other companies or collaborators.
2.2. Cancellation of the contract.
Should the client not have taken out the cancellation option (See General Terms & Conditions), Globalia Automoviles S.L. shall not refund any amount in the event of cancellation or failure to collect the vehicle. Except in specific commercial agreements between Globalia Automoviles, S.L. and other companies or collaborators. Cancellations are not permitted within 24hrs prior to the collection date.
3. COLLECTION OF THE VEHICLE
3.1. Fuel.
In the Canary Islands Globalia Automoviles S.L. provides the vehicle with fuel and the vehicle must be returned with the same amount of fuel at the time of return. In the event the vehicle is empty or with less fuel than at the moment of collection, Globalia Automoviles, S.L. will charge this amount to the credit card provided by the contracting party, at the price established by the company providing the service.
4. DURING THE RENTAL PERIOD
4.1. In the Canary Islands, the Terms & Conditions during the rental period are subject to the General Terms & Conditions of our collaborators in the islands, except those which are different from the conditions specified in this document.
NOTICE: These conditions apply solely to the points which differ to the General Terms & Conditions with reference to the particular procedure for Globalia Automóviles S.L. in the Canary Islands.
